Father’s Day Gift Ideas

It can be hard coming up with new gift ideas for Father’s Day each year hopefully, these will give you some inspiration.

Father’s Day Card

If you don’t live nearby or plan to see your father figure on Father’s Day then sending a card is the very least you can do. Whether it’s a sentimental card or a joke card, giving a card is pretty much a must.

Buying a card is pretty simple, most supermarkets sell celebration cards as well as specific card shops. You can also find places which will make you a personalised card and post it straight to the recipient for you. My favourite is Moonpig for online cards, it’s really easy to use and upload your own pictures. Also, if you sign up to Moonpig as a new customer you can get 50% off.

Men’s Fashion Accessories

This is probably one of the most popular types of gifts to give a man and it is also quite broad. Male fashion accessories are becoming more and more popular with everyday male fashion and trendy outfits.

Fashion accessories are quite personal and you would need to know that person’s style to get the accessory right. However, a bracelet or a watch can be dressed up or dressed down to suit any occasion and would make a great gift. A set of cuff links or a tie clip for someone who wears a suit regularly could show you had thought about your gift being practical.

A lot of men tend to wear jewellery of some kind, with a necklace being the most common. Buying a necklace for a Father’s Day gift could be quite a sentimental present to receive and treasure for a long time.

Clothing For Dads

We all wear clothes and they make a great gift and a thoughtful gift could be a top from your dad’s favourite brand or designer. Men are less likely than women to splurge on a designer top they like, so it’s your time to shine and treat them to something special.

A more budget-friendly item of clothing could be socks. Novelty or fashionable, socks serve a purpose and are something we can all use. Make them personalised and they will be a reminder of you every time they get worn.

Food & Alcohol Gifts

Alcohol is usually a great gift to receive. A bottle of spirit or a keg of your dad’s favourite beer would give them the opportunity to indulge. It also gives them the chance to crack it open and share and make a special occasion out of it.

Boxes of chocolates always go down a treat but you could also find something a bit different. Food hampers of cheese, hot chillis gift set or something more specific to their taste is a great gift. These will are things that you wouldn’t typically buy yourself so giving them as a present is a good idea.

Experiences As Gifts

Take all the thinking out of the gift giving and buy an experience voucher.

You can load up a voucher with an amount you want to spend and then they can choose the experience they want to do with it. These can often be once in a lifetime gifts as how often would you otherwise drive a sports car around a track or take a skydive?

Experience days sites such as BuyAGift are jam-packed with ideas to give as a present to your dad this Father’s Day.

The Man That Has Everything

If you feel that nothing above is suitable and your father has everything he could possibly already want or need, then get them the gift of charity. Make a charitable donation in their name. So many charities worldwide could benefit and you have an abundance to choose from.

Plant a tree in their name to help try and combat climate change.

At the end of the day, it’s about showing we appreciate them in our lives and that is the focus and the point of buying them gifts. Your presence could be just the gift they want and having some quality time is all that you need to give.
