It’s almost hard to believe it, but we are already thinking about winter fashion trends. This year is (finally) drawing to a close, even though it doesn’t feel as though Summer has really left us yet.

As we enter the last few months of the year it’s time for reflection and all of that wonderful “stuff”, but it’s also the best time of year, for a costume change. Transitioning the Summer to Autumn wardrobe indicates a drop in temperature outside and the prospect of new winter clothes.

Our costumes extend to far more than just outerwear like a handbag or a coat. We over time develop a personal style which in turn says a lot about our personalities.

This year big, heavy knits are going to see you through from the autumn to the winter. That means that you can shell out a little more for top quality, 100% wool and hand-knitted wraps, oversized tops with long sleeves and knitted trousers.

Pair with boots and layer with scarves, accessorise with Versace dark shades and if you’re feeling bold, a broad leather big-buckled belt.

Monosyllabic Colour

An evolution from last season where bold colours clashed and created box-like lines and confident separations.

This winter we’re changing drab and grey for singular, bright and brash colours, for the entire outfit.

It’s Kermit Though

Green is not just your environmental conscience.

Green is also the one colour that can boldly take from autumn into winter, making for fabulous transitional ensembles. Not just any green – it’s literally Kermit the frog green (Granny Smith apple green).

Either make the entire outfit one colour, but ease up texture, or create clear lines with a green top and black bottom or a black long-sleeve fitted top with a green skirt in a variety of textures and cuts.

Get Your Logo On

After a brief breakup, the logo is back and with a bang.

Think Gucci, Versace, Max Mara and Balmain are all vying for the biggest logo contender.

Stunning for nights out clubbing or Saturday shopping. Works best in a “top or bottom” configuration and if you have the logo at the top, scarves and shawls of 100% wool create mystery and style, oh and they keep you warm too.

Suites That Scream 70’s

After having spent most of the past year in or out of lockdown many of us are returning to work with a renewed sense of purpose. The overwhelming desire to make a statement.

Suites with jackets, tops and trousers in burned colours of red, orange, and ochre are easy to pair with leather boots especially seeing as though the pants are flared and flared hugely.

Exciting and sophisticated fabrics are what’s driving this change from autumn to winter so think everyday cashmere, wrapped around you with layered outer garments that frame and enhance your silhouette all at the same time.
