Organising your week is essential to ensure it runs smoothly. We all have a routine and a schedule with work and life but there are a few ways to ensure it is more organised.

Imagine at the beginning of the week, you are feeling stressed already. You have so much to do and feel like there isn’t enough time to do it in. It can be overwhelming, a feeling a lot of us have or have had.

Monday mornings can be the key day to determine how your week is going to pan out.

There are a number of things you can do to make your week run smoothly. It is best to plan your week before it happens. The weekend prior would be a great time to arrange your schedules and organise your week.

I am going to share a few ideas with you and hopefully, this will help you boss your way through your week too.

Organising Your Week

1) Make A Schedule

Whether you are juggling just your own life or your family’s too, make a schedule. You could write it all on a wall calendar, something which allows you to write in a number of lines of text per day for each family member.

In this schedule, you need to include all the events that are happening on specific days and at specific times. This could include doctor’s appointments, food delivery slots and more depending on how busy your week is.

This schedule will be a constant reminder of what is happening and you can refer to it as and when needed.

If you are introducing some positive daily habits into your life, include these in the schedule too. For example, leave a note for yourself to drink more water, this prompt will help you keep onto of your hydration levels.

2) Meal Plan

Knowing what you are eating each day will save you a lot of stress when it comes to meal times. Even more so if you need to cook your whole family a meal and not just yourself.

Making your meal plan will involve you knowing what food you have in your fridge and when it needs to be eaten. Knowing this information will also help when it comes to going grocery shopping.

You can buy the food you need to accommodate your planned meals. This in turn can help save you money and reduce your food waste too.

If you are following a diet plan such as Slimming World, this will allow you to plan meals based on your diet. Hopefully will help you stick to it better as you know what you are going to eat each day.

3) Cleaning

This isn’t everyone’s favourite chore but sadly it needs to be done. When your environment is clean you feel happy and motivated. Zoflora is one of my cleaning cupboard staples, I love my home smelling clean. Using cleaning equipment which makes the chore easier is such a good idea. The Riccar R10E is a supralite entry-level upright vacuum which makes cleaning the carpets a breeze. You shouldn’t waste your precious time vacuuming with a heavy-duty machine especially when you have a busy week.

To ensure your home is clean set specific days aside to do some cleaning. If you start work late mid-week and will have a spare hour, plan to clean. If cleaning really isn’t for you then you can hire a cleaning service to do it for you. It doesn’t have to be a huge expense either, you can find out the average cost of maid service in atlanta or for your location online, to see whether it fits into your budget.

This might really sound tedious but having it as a scheduled event will help you do it. You know you are spending that hour doing the vacuuming and dusting so you are mentally prepared for it. Makes it feel less of a challenge when you are prepared and the time will fly by.

Laundry is an important cleaning task especially if you wear a uniform to work or have children in school.

Weekends are popular days set aside for doing laundry. If this is also when you have a more free time schedule that into your routine.

4) Make A Budget

Check your bank account or your joint bank account to ensure bills are paid as planned.

Routinely checking your finances will help you work out your budget for shopping and other expenses. If you have a set amount you spend on shopping try to stick to this. Also, ensure you have the funds available to avoid going overdrawn and getting charged.

Organising your week financially can be just as important as physically. Having the finances to make sure subscriptions and any after school programs in Hershey, PA that your children may attend can be paid will ensure your week runs smoothly.

5) Self Care

Without you feeling and being in top form will hinder how your week progresses.

If you are desperate for a pedicure schedule that into your week so you don’t miss out.

Sunday night rituals could include a bubble bath and a glass of wine. Treat yourself you deserve it, and schedule that into your week too.

Planning your self-care routine will mean it is more likely to happen, as you have allowed it to be in your schedule. So many people tend to forget about themselves when organising their weeks but you are the key factor in your week.

These 5 hacks are just examples of things that you can do to help yourself. Helping you to live a more positive and organised lifestyle.
