Aldi has come to the rescue again with their budget-friendly Lacura Exfoliating glycolic treatment perfect for this season.
Now the colder days are upon us this is the perfect time of year to rethink our skincare routine.
The colder weather makes our skin react differently to the warmer weather in the summer months. Therefore we need to be using slightly different products to accommodate the change. Whether we are treating the skin on our face to spot acne or the skin on our butts to prevent butt acne, you will probably need to adjust your current routine.
We want to keep our skin looking fresh and radiant all year round. Colder weather tends to dull it but there is a solution which can help.
Exfoliation is a crucial step in any effective skincare routine, and glycolic acid is one of the most celebrated ingredients for achieving smooth, radiant skin. Among the myriad of exfoliating products available in the market, the Aldi Lacura Exfoliating Glycolic Treatment has garnered significant attention for its affordability and promising results. This blog post delves deep into the features, benefits, and user experiences associated with this product to help you decide whether it deserves a spot in your skincare arsenal.
Lacura Exfoliating Glycolic Treatment
The Lacura exfoliating glycolic treatment is specially formulated with 4.9% glycolic acid.
Glycolic acid is used on the face to break the bonds between the outer layers of skin cells. The outer layer of skin which typically has dead skin cells is connected to the next layer of new skin. By massaging glycolic acid we are encouraging this outer layer of skin to exfoliate and leave a new fresh layer.
The benefits being we are left with radiant-looking skin. The glycolic acid also has hydrating properties and is suitable for all skin types. In fact, it is one of those products which is highly recommended by skin experts globally.
If you are not already using dry body brushing as part of your skincare routine you might want to consider it. Working hand in hand with glycolic treatments your skin will look radiant and glowy permanently.
Using Aldi’s Lacura glycolic acid
So due to the levels of glycolic acid in the product, it is only to be used twice a week. If you have highly sensitive skin just start with once and week and build up if you feel it isn’t causing any irritation.
The application needs to be on to dry and clean skin. This would be the first layer in your skincare routine after you have double-cleansed and dried your face.
Once it has been applied just leave it a few minutes to be absorbed into your skin.
It has been hailed as the dupe of Sunday Rileys Good Genes glycolic acid treatment which retails at £85. This Aldi dupe will only cost you £5.99, which is nearly an £80 saving.
The ingredients comparison appears to be identical so with the Sunday Riley version. With it being described as magic in a bottle, you are getting the exact same thing for a fraction of the price
From what I have experienced using it, a little goes a long way. So don’t over-pump when you first try it. I use 2 pumps and that is certainly enough to do my face and my neck
There is hardly any scent to it and it absorbs really fast
My Lacura Exfoliating Glycolic Acid Verdict
I am going to keep using it as my first layer in skincare for a bit longer as so far so good
My fine lines are less noticeable and the mild sun spots I have from the summer are less visible too. Especially the high points of my cheeks which I’m pleased about them being less noticeable. I do tend to get these dark sun spots every year despite wearing SPF, so I’m looking forward to these being totally gone
For glycolic acid, the price tag is really cheap and I am really pleased with it. For anyone who is concerned about fine lines or sun spots, I would say the £5.99 investment is worth it
