Clothes You Can Wear To Improve Your Mood
Wear your favourite outfits more
Our favourite outfits that we wore for a specific event and we felt fabulous wearing them, wear them again. Don’t just keep them stored away in your wardrobe collecting dust. You looked good in it and more importantly felt good in it, so why not wear it again?
Most outfits are multifunctional and can be worn for more than one event or occasion. Women especially tend to only wear an outfit once but then hang onto the outfit. Either embrace how you felt and make it feature in your wardrobe routine more or sell it on and buy something new with the funds.
Wear clothes that fit you
Since we are still experiencing the effects of quarantine, it’s likely that you’re experiencing a change in your waistline. Wearing the appropriate clothes that fit you will make you feel more comfortable and confident.
A lot of people who are now working from home have had a complete wardrobe change. Working clothes are now casual loungewear and if you are not comfortable you will not feel good.
Stop hanging on to clothes that are a couple of sizes too big or small, sell them vinted or eBay is a great way to sell old clothes. Hanging on to these clothes will affect your mood whenever you get dressed.
Making sure all the clothes in your everyday wardrobe fit you, will start your daily mood the right way.
Wear colours and prints you enjoy
Clothes should be a reflection of your personality.
Unless you have a specific work uniform or work attire you are required to wear then you should wear clothes that make you feel like you. If you feel like you then you will feel more comfortable.
A lot of people will follow fashion trends and styles despite them not feeling like them. If you like a certain print and style you should wear it regardless of whether it is in fashion or not.
A lot of people shy away from bright colours for fear of standing out, but that is ok. You don’t have to pretend to be someone you are not but if that bright colour makes you feel good you should wear it more.
Use your wardrobe as a way to put a smile on your face each day. It can lift your mood throughout the day and maybe even other people’s moods too.
