4 Ways To Have More Energy And Be More Productive

Since the autumn equinox the nights have been getting longer and the darker days have made me feel less motivated

Having that cup of coffee in the morning helps me start my day. But throughout the day I have been struggling a bit to keep motivated

I know it isn’t just me who has been struggling and I have been looking at ways to help

I have come up with these 4 ways to have more energy and be more productive

Getting Enough Sleep

This might sound obvious but since working from home I find I switch off less. This means I am often going to bed later and still getting up early ready to start the day

The average adult needs about 8 hours sleep a night, I know that I don’t always manage to secure that much. Having less sleep can affect our mood and our health which ultimately makes us less productive

Healthy Diet

Healthy body, healthy mind. The quality of the food you intake will effect your body and how you feel. I know I find when I eat healthy, I generally feel much better than when I binge or overindulge in the wrong foods

Fuelling your body in the right way can have a positive effect on your state of mind as well as your physical wellbeing. Keeping hydrated is important too

Exercise

When we exercise, our body releases endorphins. This is a chemical reaction which trigger positive feelings in the body which usually lasts for 30 minutes

I know exercise isn’t possible for everyone but if you can manage to raise your heart rate to do some exercise, it should help your mood

Self Care

This is something I can not stress enough. The importance of doing a task for yourself to make yourself feel better. This doesn’t have to be anything huge or financially demanding, but something as simple as read a book

Taking some time out of your day to make you feel good and worthy will lift your mood, self care is so important

Hopes these  4 ways to have more energy and be more productive have been useful

Yes, Sleep, Nutrition, Exercise ( perhaps outdoors in the fresh air. A walk around or through the park, stopping to admire and feed the ducks, may brighten the day). Self – Care seems quite a modern concept. Yet we really need to look after ourselves in order that we can get through the day, see to others, etc. In previous years collectively a family would spend time together, look out for one another, share meals together (everyone collectively nurtured and nourished) sharing / Caring.

My sleep patterns have got completely messed up over the past few months, I’m sure I’m not the only one.
